Built in the 1960s, this home was old and outdated and the family of four was ready for it to get a makeover. M&M was hired to renovate the entire kitchen space, laundry room, and turn the complete upstairs into the primary suite. The wood floors were refinished throughout, a new railing system installed, a few new windows, and painting was done to complete the project.
The primary suite includes an oval soaking tub with a contemporary quartz backsplash infused with lines of greige and warm earth tones against a soft white background. The same quartz product was used in the walk-in shower combining transformation with indulgence. The shower fixtures include Brizo: a multi-function shower head with H20 kinetic technology, rain head, and handheld with slide bar in polished nickel. The nearly 12′ long floating vanity expands under several windows in a stained rift white oak and 6″ built-up countertop in a clean white quartz with matching polished nickel Brizo faucets. The couple’s mirrors are flanked on each end of the vanity for a creative use of space and natural lighting.
The charming curved staircase leads up to the primary suite. Complete with a custom metal railing, wood treads and wool carpet runner in a light grey tone elevate both comfort and style. Above the staircase, hangs a lantern style chandelier in a gold finish, and a white enameled 4″ v-groove ceiling giving this staircase a fresh and open feel.
At the heart of this home is a spacious kitchen with island, bar area, and wrap-around butlers pantry. Encased in a 4″ v-groove vertical paneling is the kitchen island, appliances and storage cabinets. The bar shelving is detailed with a mid-century modern gallery rail and 2″ built-up countertop with a black stained color v-groove paneling as well. A Perrin & Rowe widespread bridge faucet, soft gold hardware and quartz countertops and backsplash make this an expertly crafted kitchen.
